African-American, U.S., and Cultural History

The University of British Columbia

Prof. Paul Krause

This is the home page of Prof. Paul Krause, who teaches history at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C.

The main purpose of this site is to help students navigate some of the challenges of History 490A, my seminar for history majors, and H447A, “American Freedom, American Slavery, American Memory.”

This page will direct you to the syllabi of these courses, and you also will find links to other courses taught by Prof. Krause — including a graduate seminar in historiography, H548D. Here, too, are links to relevant sites in U.S. and African-American History, and in the history of culture.
